Your role will mainly involve taking care of children with special needs and help adapt to the communities and understand themselves better. Your works could range from playing group games, singing songs, exercising with the pupils as well as cooking, cleaning and feeding the children. Their age group is from 5 to 15. It is generally expected that you will station at the centre for children with special needs in the morning until early evening although this will vary depending on the needs of the project. In some occasions, you will be asked to work at the Pagoda, where you will spend the day with the infants and orphanages. Volunteers at these projects should have a genuine love of children and young people, and an interest helping people with challenging conditions. You should also have a good understanding of these conditions and be confident in working in this area. Candidates may require some basic skills in working with the young adults with special needs.
